update

Okay…. earlier I was a little pissed off and down, until I remembered one of my favorite quotes from a poem by Linda Ellis called “The Dash”    “….So when your eulogy is being read with your life’s actions to rehash would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?”

It’s all about prespective and being true to your heart, body and soul.

Life as I know it!!

Today is not so good.  Today is one of the days I look back over the course of my short life and feel the need to tell all young people sometimes the right decisions are not always the comfortable and safe decisions.  I played it safe with all decisions, although I will not use the word regret, because I don’t regret, but wonder what could have been if I chose outside my comfort zone.

Now I cannot change where I am, or rather feel out of obligation things I cannot change.  I thought I had life experiences, but now realized that what I know, things I have seen, are only a small part of this great world we live in.  I believe that knowledge is a powerful force in life.  I am a complete bookworm, a complete nerd if you will.  But realize now, life experiences are even more of a force, it will shape you in ways and send you in directions that you never thought possible.  Live everyday and don’t wait for the big one to fall from the heavens into your lap.  It is your choice to make, to empower yourselves to create the life you choose, not for someone else to lead you.

I feel stuck and bored, maybe I need to listen to myself for fear of finding a hypocrite………………………….

Unites States of America vs. BP ?

BP owes the whole of the United States of America answers and restitution.  Who will make them pay?  I ask myself this question all day, everyday.  Our ancestors came to this great country, thousands of lives lost to secure our way of life; and now in the midst of economic ruin, cannot the United States of America stand up and do something.  The ramifications of what happened is not just oil to be cleaned up, but the lives, jobs and homes of everyone living on the Gulf Coast.  This has already gone on too long, but no one seems to know what to do.  How can that be?  BP has destroyed a large part of our beautiful coast and marshes, not excluding the animals and marine life.  What is the government going to do next?  How are the families, that relied on the riches the Gulf abundantly provided, going to move on?

Katrina was enough…. Nashville flooding was enough…., but these were natural disasters.  We survived, rebuilt, and rose above all expectations.  It is the man-made disasters that I cannot stomach, not on this level.  Granted no one is perfect, but the magnitude of this disaster has a larger effect on the future of our great nation than what some lead us to believe.  I may not effect those which have endless supplies of funds, but the basic groundwork of this country, the pay check to pay check people are the ones who will suffer the most.  Though they suffer the most, their resilience and perseverence will be astounding.

Ending on a High Note…

“How’s this for scary? This white blanket on the water is made up of tiny dead fish. This is 20 miles from the mouth of mobile bay. Sickening. I am sure this is just the beginning of what we will see.
I am guessing this is from the toxic dispersant.”

one forty plus: Soap Operas -

In the fictional universe of Soap Operas, do you think Soap Operas exist? Most movies acknowledge that movies exist. Most TV families own a television. So do Soap Operas play against a backdrop where somewhere in their universe on television a Soap Opera is playing? And if so, don’t you think at…

Random Thought …

How does the fact that John Mayer cancelled shows due to illness have any bearing on that f*****g Playboy article at this point.  I must say I was not a huge fan until that article came out.  Now I think I like him even more, music and in personality.  Maybe we should be as concerned with the happenings around us and around the world.

Reading the celebrity gossip makes me embarrassed for those trying to live that lifestyle and having no privacy to do so.  Too bad those people are hounded so.  You might as well put fine print on their contracts that states they must attach video cameras to their asses just to appease the general public.  Then we would all know exactly who they are/are not messing around with, or whether they are alcoholics or drug addicts.

I wonder how many high-profile relationships over the years would have been weathered the test of time if the gossip-mongers would have left well enough alone?
