update
Okay…. earlier I was a little pissed off and down, until I remembered one of my favorite quotes from a poem by Linda Ellis called “The Dash” “….So when your eulogy is being read with your life’s actions to rehash would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?”
It’s all about prespective and being true to your heart, body...
Life as I know it!!
Today is not so good. Today is one of the days I look back over the course of my short life and feel the need to tell all young people sometimes the right decisions are not always the comfortable and safe decisions. I played it safe with all decisions, although I will not use the word regret, because I don’t regret, but wonder what could have been if I chose outside my comfort zone.
Now I...

one forty plus: Murphy Family Support Fund →
Via KATC.com
A Lafayette family is appealing for help during a tragic time. Nicole Murphy was struck and killed by a car this week while in South Africa. A former soccer standout at Saint Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, she travelled to the country for the World Cup along…
Unites States of America vs. BP ?
BP owes the whole of the United States of America answers and restitution. Who will make them pay? I ask myself this question all day, everyday. Our ancestors came to this great country, thousands of lives lost to secure our way of life; and now in the midst of economic ruin, cannot the United States of America stand up and do something. The ramifications of what happened is not just oil to be...

First meal ever is the same as the last… how poetic.
one forty plus: Soap Operas →
In the fictional universe of Soap Operas, do you think Soap Operas exist? Most movies acknowledge that movies exist. Most TV families own a television. So do Soap Operas play against a backdrop where somewhere in their universe on television a Soap Opera is playing? And if so, don’t you think at…

Random Thought ...
How does the fact that John Mayer cancelled shows due to illness have any bearing on that f*****g Playboy article at this point. I must say I was not a huge fan until that article came out. Now I think I like him even more, music and in personality. Maybe we should be as concerned with the happenings around us and around the world.

Watch TV, and Pee on it at the same time...
cheaperthanacupofjoe:
What could be better than those tiny TVs above the urinals at sports bars? Well, how about an even bigger TV… that you can pee on! That’s right, a pub in Melbourne called The Horse Bazaar has the worlds first (and possibly last) rear projection TV urinal. You’ll never miss a second of the game, and you can “R. Kelly” your favorite athletes at the same time!

Pushing Buttons
Today I have any way too many buttons pushed for having to be at work for another 4 hours. I cannot seem to grasp the notion, which many have, that everyone and everything in this world owes me something or everything. Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be bitchy, just blowing a little steam. But, at what point in some minds are you happy and feel accomplishment when you are...
The Gratitude Campaign →

This is really simple, beautiful and extremely worthwhile. Check it out. I have said thank you to men and women of the military while at the airport and the experience is always really meaningful if not a bit uncomfortable for them. I don’t think there’s a social protocol yet for saying ‘thank you’ and this really nails it. I hope this catches on.

Who needs pepper spray when there’s a dress that transforms into a vending machine! Have no fear Lady Narutos, designer Aya Tsukioka has created this amazing Decepticon dress to fool potential muggers when you’re under attack.

-Bad Religion, “Marked”, from Stranger Than Fiction
Today would have been my childhood best friend (and college teammate/roommate), Ryan’s, 35th birthday. When he passed away in 1994, I was on a serious Bad Religion kick (Generator, Recipe For Hate, and Stranger Than Fiction to be specific)…
one forty plus: Just A Thought. →
I believe that the BP oil spill could have even bigger ramifications on our country than we already realize.
If this disaster exits the public consciousess without there being a 1:1 ratio of fault to accountability, then we as a nation will have demonstrated to our government (and the…
It Should Be Illegal
Okay….Sooooo….. just got back from a quick weekend in Nashvegas. OMG!! Fun was had by all, propositions were made and I graciously declined, and a plethora of finely sculpted, tattooed, god-like bodies that in my dreams were licked from head to well…..
Coming back to a reality where I feel the real me may cease to exist. It is in these fleeting moments of days past in that...
I had to check myself and count to 10 when I saw this. It called to me like some mythical creature beckoning me to get naked and climb on. But I refused, I’m not quite sure how.
If I look a little heavier these days it’s because I’m bulking up for a role....
